Ivor R. Ellul has worked in the energy industry for more than four decades, with a particular focus on petroleum. In 1980, Ivor R. Ellul began his career with Jan-Peter Meyer KG, in West Germany, where he designed oil storage tanks.

Over the years, Dr. Ellul has worked with a variety of companies, such as Petrochem Engineering & Construction in 1983, where he oversaw the design, engineering, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning of petroleum pipeline and tank farm installations. Later in his career, he founded Knowledge Reservoir in 1999, a company specializing in conventional and unconventional onshore/offshore deep-water exploration and production. As CEO, he played a pivotal role in developing the company's extensive database of geoscience and engineering resources to support projects worldwide.

Over the past decade, Dr. Ellul has overseen operations at CiSK Ventures Ltd. As managing director, he provided clients with advisory services. This counsel includes development and production optimization, as well as commercial review of assets (as part of acquisition and divestiture transactions).

Dr. Ellul has had research published in a number of journals, including Chemical Engineering, The American Oil & Gas Reporter, and the SPE Journal of Petroleum Technology. He has also presented his research at various conferences. He is a member of the Institute of Energy and the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Malta and a master’s degree and doctorate in petroleum engineering from Imperial College, London. He is also a certified professional engineer in the State of Texas and a chartered engineer in the United Kingdom.
